Who We Are
Prime Timers Mobile was established in 2010 as a social organization for gay and bisexual men. Our objective is to sponsor a diverse range of cultural and educational events to enrich the social lives of our members in the Mobile area. We are not a political or religious organization, but we are concerned with society as it affects the aging gay and bisexual population.
No single definition can describe Prime Timers. Our members come from all walks of life. Prime Timers involve themselves in their community with volunteerism, politics, gay issues, arts, entertainment, medical issues, support groups and every other facet of healthy living. One thing is true for all Prime Timers, they enjoy the opportunities, support, camaraderie and lifelong friendships they experience by being a part of our group.
Prime Timers Mobile is a member chapter of the Prime Timers Worldwide (PTWW) organization.
How to Join
Membership is open to men 21 years and older. Click here for a printable copy of our application. You can bring the completed application and membership fee to an upcoming meeting.
What We Do
Monthly:
- 6:30 PM, Taco Tuesday on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at Azteca’s Restaurant and Cantina located at 5452 Highway 90 West, Mobile, AL 36619 (Tillmans Corner)
- Dine outs
- Business meetings and socials
- 6:00 PM, Wednesday Potluck followed by a movie. This event is held in members’ homes.
Annual and Seasonal:
- Beach days, canoeing and tubing trips
- Annual Holiday party
- Travel
