Who We Are
We are a social organization that provides mature gay, bisexual, and trans men with opportunities to come together in a safe and supportive atmosphere to develop friendships and to enjoy and participate in social, educational, cultural, recreational, and community activities and events. We are a member chapter of PrimeTimers® Worldwide.
What We Do
Our regular activities include:

- Monthly membership meetings
- Dining out at restaurants and potluck dinners at members’ homes
- Happy hours
- Card games (bridge, hand and foot)
- Parties and celebrations (holiday parties, pool parties, and our annual chapter anniversary celebration)
- Cultural activities (theater, museums, music, arts, sporting events)
- Discussion, support, and special-interest groups
- Service and advocacy (Hill Country Ride for AIDS (HCRA) and the Helping Hands Food Bank, to name a few)

Our membership dues are $30 per calendar year (January–December).

How many members do you have?
As of April 2025, we have 170 members.
What is the age range of your members?
Our members range in age from 40–80+, with an average age in the mid-60s. Younger men (21+) are welcome.
How long have you been around?
Austin Prime Timers was established in 1989 by PrimeTimers® Worldwide founder Woody Baldwin. In 2024, we celebrated our 35th anniversary as a chapter.
