Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture – a Smithsonian Affiliate – documents, interprets, and preserves the complex experiences, contributions, and culture of Black people. The Lewis Museum serves as a catalyst of sustained change by providing robust programs and exhibitions and bold conversations that educate and challenge. We strive to be a trusted custodian, a respected authority, and a thought-partner on the history, art and culture of the African diaspora with an emphasis on the State of Maryland.
We invite you to join the Prime Timers for a group visit to the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, located at 830 E Pratt St, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. Meet at 3:15 at the entrance for a 3:30 tour, which should take about 60-90 minutes. Afterward, those who wish will go to dinner at a local restaurant to be determined that day.
Parking options include:
- $9 validated parking is available across the street in the PMI Garage at 815 E. Pratt Street. Bring your ticket to the museum’s main entrance to have it validated.
- Free on-street parking and metered parking is also available throughout the Harbor East and Little Italy neighborhoods, as well as at St. Vincent dePaul church.
