DESCRIPTION:Ride The Scenic Line and enjoy the beautiful view between the mountain towns of Cumberland and Frostburg\, Maryland!\n\nJoin your fellow Prime Timers for a train ride through the mountains of western Maryland enjoying the fall foliage!  The ride starts at 11:30 AM.  It starts in Cumberland\, Maryland.  The train climbs through the mountains to Frostburg\, where we’ll have a stop to tour the town\, have lunch\, and just hang out.  Then the train returns to Cumberland.\n\nCarpooling will meet at the Park-and-Ride at the eastern end of Interstate 70 in Woodlawn. Cars will leave the Park-and-Ride at 7:30 a.m. and will return by early evening. If you are willing to drive to Cumberland\, contact event leader Richard at diningout@ptbalto.org. DESCRIPTION:Charlestown Senior Living in Catonsville will be hosting a concert by the New Wave Singers of Baltimore on Friday\, November 1st\, 2024 at 7:00 PM.  In conjunction with this\, they are offering to provide dinner for up to 10 members of Prime Timers of Baltimore\, hosted by the LGBTQ+ dining group at Charlestown.  Yes\, there will be promotional materials about Charlestown to give to us\, but it won’t be a hard sell experience (like those free meals provided by the folks selling time shares!).  Richard and I have already signed up — it promises to be a fun evening so don’t delay!\n.\nThe dinner is scheduled for 5:00 PM in the Chesapeake Restaurant at Charlestown.  Then we will walk to the auditorium for the concert.  Tickets for the concert are FREE\, but there will be a place to donate funds to the New Wave Singers..  A fellow member of Prime Timers\, Michael Rogan\, will obtain the tickets for us.  Any that are not spoken for by Friday\, October 25th\, will be returned to Charlestown for distribution to their residents.
