DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun hour of duckpin bowling\, a longtime treasured Baltimore tradition.  The bowling ball and pins are smaller and squatter\, but the game is more challenging than traditional ten-pin\, worthy of any native or transplanted Baltimorean! \nThe cost is $9 per person and $5 for bowling shoes\, or you can bring your own bowling shoes to save money.  This takes place just before our monthly Club House Dining at JerryD’s\, just a block or so away.  We plan to make this a monthly (or mostly monthly) event.  Burn a few calories before dinner.  Have fun!  Go Bowling! \nRSVP by Friday at 8:00 p.m. of the night before the event to event leader Mike at “PrimeTimersBaltimore at gmail dot com.”

DESCRIPTION:From the Baltimore Museum of Art:  The exhibition – American Sublime – tells the story of (Amy) Sherald’s vision and practice through 38 paintings created from 2007 to the present—from her early\, rarely seen works to her iconic\, larger-than-life portraits of Black Americans in everyday moments\, many of which were painted in Baltimore and feature Baltimore-based models. \nJoin us for a tour of the exhibit on Thursday\, March 19\, which is free in the evenings!  You must reserve your own ticket.  As of this entry\, tickets are available at 7:00 p.m.\, 7:30 p.m.\, and 8:00 p.m. We are aiming for the 7:30 p.m. showing for anyone who would like to go. \nOrder your free ticket here!  Donations to the BMA\, while optional\, are welcome. \nWe will host a separate Tag Along event for dinner at Tamber’s Restaurant just before attending the exhibition.

We hope to create another special edition of bowling soon.  Watch this site for announcements.\n\n\n\n\nParkville Lanes will not be available during our usual Saturday day in October because of tournaments.\n\nInstead\, we invite you to join us on Friday\, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Parkville Lanes for a fun night of duckpin bowling (or throwing balls into the gutter for some of us). The price will be the same as our Saturday bowling\, which is $9 per person plus $5 per shoes (or bring your own).\n\nIf you would like\, we could also meet nearby for an early dinner at 5:30 p.m. at one of the local restaurants at the plaza or nearby – there are plenty of choices: Olympia\, Chipotle\, Panda Express\, Omi Japanese Hibachi\, Wingstop\, or Racer’s.  We can meet in front of Parkville Lanes at 5:30 then choose where to eat.\n\nIf you would like to go\, contact event leader Mike Bernard at primetimersbaltimore at gmail dot com.  Tell him if you would like to meet for both dinner and bowling or just bowling.
