Happy Hour Dinner – Corner Cafe in Riverside!

Man, is this a study in contrasts or what? Last week, we dined at Grand Street Cafe and tonight we’re imbibing and dining at Corner Cafe in Riverside! Casual, comfortable and operating since 1983. Now interestingly enough, there had always been a small restaurant at the “Corner” in Riverside, Missouri, but before 1983 it had changed names and hands several times. Many of the locals wanted to see a return to the old-style cafe that had existed there. Enter Ed and Kathi Rule. They had never been in the restaurant business before, but always felt they knew what good food was all about and their following grew into loyal customers. It’s American comfort food at its best. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, grilled tenderloin – there’s something there for everyone at reasonable prices. I, for one, would never say no to a world-class Rueben!
