FYI: Jonathan Capehart at The Kansas City Library

June 12 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm CDT

Prime Timers Kansas City is pleased (okay, I’m thrilled!) to announce a little something new. On an ongoing basis, we’re going to post different events happening in the area. This differs from our scheduled and painstakingly planned (c’mon, no jokes!) normal outings and is more an opportunity to attend various activities on an informal basis, no Punchbowl notices required. Instead, call a few friends and make a night of it or simply fly solo if you’re so inclined. Accordingly, we’re calling this “little something new” FYI.

On June 6 Jonathan Capehart is appearing at The Kansas City Library; Plaza Branch. There’s a reception at 5:30 PM and the program begins at 6:00. Mr. Capehart will discuss his new book, Yet here I am. This book discusses his life as a gay Black man and the internship that led him to a Pulitzer-Prize winning career in journalism and his position as Associate Editor of the Washington Post.

Use the link in this notice to RSVP on the library website. This event is free and is definitely worth attending! Stay healthy, fellas, and enjoy it!
