Tonight I began to wonder about southern food. I mean what the heck is it anyway? So, I queried the stalwart round ball on my desk, aka Alexa, for details. Wow! Southern food is a culinary tradition from the American South that combines influences from African, Native American, European, and Caribbean cuisines, focusing on comfort foods like fried chicken, grits, and barbecue. It is known for its rich flavors and hearty dishes that reflect the region’s history and culture. In short, this is really, really good stuff! And, that takes us to tonight’s venue; Tupelo Honey in Lenexa. What a menu and far too many options to list. Just be warned that you won’t leave hungry. But you will leave fully sated because you spent a fantastic evening with your PTKC family at a fine, fun place to dine. What’s better than that?!
