Kansas City Restaurant Week!
January 9 - January 18
Think about the emotional attachment we place on food. For most of us, it’s more than mere nutritional necessity and as KCPT’ers, man, we LOVE to eat! So, it’s important to know that January 9 – 18th is Restaurant Week in Kansas City! Dine in, carry out or delivery, there are oodles of choices out there for ‘ya and deals to be had. This isn’t a formal KCPT event but we wanted you to know about it and it’s great to support local restaurants. I’ve included the link for more information at the bottom of this notice.
For now I’ll leave you with a really awful poem about pickles but with sincere apologies to our genuinely skilled resident poet, Michael McGrath.
The Cheesy Pickle
Trapped within, the brine was rank
But no choice had he, in despair he sank.
Until he spied some Brie outside the jar.
Oh, could he make it, it seemed so far!
He lept towards the cheese, no fear of falling
Now he’s a beloved cheesy pickle, adored by all(ing).
