The Country Club Plaza Art Show – Kansas City, MO

It’s the 93rd annual Plaza Art Show at Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza with nine city blocks with over 240 artists! Last year, about 250,000 people attended and it’s one of the largest and best juried art shows in the US. It’s a three day event; from Friday, September 20th through Sunday, September 22. KCPT’ers are all invited on Sunday to meet and get a little culture (hey, we all need it!) and grab a tasty bite. So, here’s the plan. We’ll meet up at the Main Stage (for performances) (Wornall & Ward Parkway on the south side) at 12 PM on Sunday, find one of the many fine, outdoor food vendors and then take in the art. We don’t have to travel en masse, it’s too crowded for that, so grab some friends and head off in any direction. Oh, the art show goes on, rain or shine, so brave the weather if it’s wet.
Parking can be a challenge. I suggest using one of the side streets off The Plaza on either side of Brush Creek and I would take a look at the event map for parking ideas and to see which streets are closed.
