And\, what better place to see some great art than KC’s 2025 Plaza Art Fair?!  Held Friday\, September 19\, 2025 through Sunday\, September 21\, 2025\, the Plaza Art Fair encompasses nine city blocks and welcomes a crowd of over 250\,000. Featuring 240 artists\, the Plaza Art Fair is a top-ranked\, national art event with three live music stages and over 20 featured restaurant booths.\nNow this isn’t a typical\, carefully curated PTKC (oh\, just let me write that!) Event. Rather\, it’s a heads up to all our members that something really fun is happening in September. Make your own plans to join pals\, witness great art and grab a bite to eat. Not a bad way to spend your day! As a suggestion\, check the link to the event for hours and other pertinent info.\nOf course\, flu season is upon us and we’re all eligible for vaccines\, so keep Vinny the Vaccine Fairy happy!\n \nEnjoy\, guys!

DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the appeal of Pegah’s in Shawnee. Sure\, the food is pretty darn good and plentiful. Yeah\, the coffee is hot and reasonably potent (I’m lookin’ at you\, Denny’s!) and we get a semi-private (well\, sort of) back room. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry.
