This program features two pieces by famous jazz trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis. A Fiddler’s Taleincludes a tango and a “devil’s dance” and finishes with “The Blues on Top\,” while At the Octaroon Ballssports movement titles like “Creole Contradanzas\,” “Blue Lights on the Bayou” and “Rampart Street Row House Rag.” Join us in the beautiful Kauffman Center Brandmeyer Great Hall lobby for a drink starting at 5:00 p.m.\, then attend a short and casual concert starting at 6:00 p.m.\nGuys\, these tickets go fast! DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the appeal of Pegah’s in Shawnee. Sure\, the food is pretty darn good and plentiful. Yeah\, the coffee is hot and reasonably potent (I’m lookin’ at you\, Denny’s!) and we get a semi-private (well\, sort of) back room. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry.
