But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry. In 1905\, Strang purchased 600 acres south of Kansas City and adjacent to present day Metcalf Avenue and 80th Street. Fast forward 120 years and that brings us to Strang Hall. Today it’s a collective of five chef-driven eateries under one roof. Check out the video to get a sense of this fine establishment. It’s a highly regarded Kansas City restaurant featuring globally inspired\, scratch cooking with options for every dietary need. A friend of mine recently dined at Hemma Hemma. When I asked about her experience I got a big smile\, then a sigh and finally these words; “pure\, joyful comfort food.”\nWhat more do we need to know?!
