SUMMARY:Contract Bridge Night
DESCRIPTION:So\, before we chat about bridge\, did you know that contract bridge has its origins in the 16th Century? And\, about 15 million Americans age 45 and over know how to play and about 5 million of them play at least a few times a year. Kinda’ nifty\, huh? Now my exposure to this game started when I was a mere lad. My folks loved the game and attempted to teach me to play. Unfortunately I was more eager to continue my clandestine assignation with GI Joe and Ken (stolen from my sister) who were carrying on a torrid affair unbeknownst to poor Barbie (also stolen from my sister).  But enough about that. Back to bridge. PTKC has a monthly bridge group on the second Thursday of each month.  Games are held at Jim Wright’s home and\, even better\, all skill levels are welcome to join in. Want to join the game? Just keep an eagle eye out for the Punchbowl invitation from Jim!\nSame stuff about vaccines\, guys. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry. DESCRIPTION:Even though True Food Kitchen is only a 10 minute walk from my building\, I’ve not been there yet. I’m all in when it comes to eating a healthy diet but whatever is on my plate has to taste great\, too. Now\, to that end\, how can you quibble with a restaurant with this slogan? “Delicious by chefs\, nutritious by science.” I kinda’ like that! Their menu reads great! Locally sourced\, organic foods and no seed oils are used in their kitchen. Now before you start the eye rolling take a gander at their menu. I mean\, c’mon! Sourdough pizza\, all sorts of salads and bowls and their entrées? Lasagne al pesto\, grass-fed meatloaf\, sustainably raised salmon\, grilled tenderloin and I’ll just stop there. But\, this place is definitely worth a visit!\nSo\, let’s make it a great night\, starting at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays (remember?) and we’ll see ‘ya there!\n\n \n  \n  \n

We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry.
