Their dinner menu is totally keeping with the libations with multiple burgers and sandwiches\, steaks\, prime rib and seafood and other specialties. Does that mean that a collective bunch of PTKC men can’t have a great time there? Not at all!\nLocated in the heart of the historic Englewood Arts District in Independence\, “Vivilore” comes from Latin; viva means life and lore means story — life story. The menu is beautifully crafted and very sophisticated. Take a moment and peruse their cuisine. Now be warned\, no prices are listed. This place is not inexpensive. But every now and then we should indulge ourselves just a bit. Vivilore is the place to do that and exploring our own\, unique “life stories” together is what makes Prime Timers so special. You’ll just sacrifice next month’s mortgage payment in doing so.\nOh\, c’mon! I was getting entirely too sappy and some wry sarcasm was called for! Guys\, just join us!\n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the appeal of Pegah’s in Shawnee. Sure\, the food is pretty darn good and plentiful. Yeah\, the coffee is hot and reasonably potent (I’m lookin’ at you\, Denny’s!) and we get a semi-private (well\, sort of) back room. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry. So\, join us! \nGentlemen\, as a reminder\, we encourage you to protect yourself and fellow Prime Timers by getting the latest flu and Covid vaccines. Thanks\, guys.
