DESCRIPTION:Think about the emotional attachment we place on food. For most of us\, it’s more than mere nutritional necessity and as KCPT’ers\, man\, we LOVE to eat! So\, it’s important to know that January 9 – 18th is Restaurant Week in Kansas City! Dine in\, carry out or delivery\, there are oodles of choices out there for ‘ya and deals to be had. This isn’t a formal KCPT event but we wanted you to know about it and it’s great to support local restaurants. DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the appeal of Pegah’s in Shawnee. Sure\, the food is pretty darn good and plentiful. Yeah\, the coffee is hot and reasonably potent (I’m lookin’ at you\, Denny’s!) and we get a semi-private (well\, sort of) back room. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that. \nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry. So\, join us! \nGentlemen\, as a reminder\, we encourage you to protect yourself and fellow Prime Timers by getting the latest flu and Covid vaccines. Thanks\, guys.
