DESCRIPTION:Now we first sampled this restaurant a few months ago and PTKC HNDs (Hump Night Diners) thought it was wonderful. Locally & woman-owned\, Hemma Hemma is founded by chef Ashley Bareis. It’s a highly regarded Kansas City restaurant featuring globally inspired\, scratch cooking with options for every dietary need. A friend of mine recently dined at Hemma Hemma. When I asked about her experience I got a big smile\, then a sigh and finally these words; “pure\, joyful comfort food.”\nWhat more do we need to know? Keep an eye out for the Punchbowl invite\, get a jab or two of those important vaccines and join us!

SUMMARY:Lunch at Pegah's Restaurant - Shawnee
DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the appeal of Pegah’s in Shawnee. Sure\, the food is pretty darn good and plentiful. Yeah\, the coffee is hot and reasonably potent (I’m lookin’ at you\, Denny’s!) and we get a semi-private (well\, sort of) back room. But the real charm of the place is when our favorite waitress snarls at us\, “Hey old men – are you ready to order?!” You cannot put a price on that.\nClearly we really like this eatery as evidenced by the fact we all tend to hang around way past 1:30. We have a large crowd of PTKC’ers every Friday so it’s worth the jaunt. Parking can be a little tight but you’ll find a space – not to worry. So\, join us!\nGentlemen\, as a reminder\, we encourage you to protect yourself and fellow Prime Timers by staying current with your vaccines. Thanks\, guys.
