Hi there! It’s great to meet you! Thanks for stopping by our site—we’d love to have you join our family.

Hi there! I’m Eddy Miller, the Vice President here at MVOPT. It’s great to meet you!

Thanks for stopping by our site—we’d love to have you join our family. I’ve lived in the Dayton area almost my entire life (originally from Germantown) and served in the US Army during Desert Storm.

If you have any questions at all or just want to chat about what we do, feel free to reach out to me at MVOPTInfo or give me a call at 937-718-6554. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

Reasons I joined the MVOPT:

— Isolation /loneliness can be a killer for older folks
— More friendship and real connections with MVOPT folks
— Do activities together, more than just eating. Once a month meetings/gatherings for fellowship
— Updates from national World Wide Prime Timers to inform about gay situations, etc.
— Real gays that you can talk to about gay things, not straight people. You can be your gay self.
— A different way to meet gays other than bars/ cruises/online chats/churches.
— Be around other gays and know that you aren’t alone out there. That is major to me, to know someone else so that you can share things with.
— Being older, to possibly have support help as more friends keep dying. To have someone to call for help.
— A reason to get out of the house and do something with friends. Staying in the house isolates you and depresses you.
— I found that everyone has a story if you are wiling to listen. I have been amazed at the stories gays have told me about their lives, their intriguing jobs and travels.
— I stand up for others, I don’t put them down. That was a basic rule at home, also helped me when working with handicapped. — — You can feel the hurt and pain of ignorant people’s words. I support gays and anyone to be the best person they can be, in whatever manner that creates. Live LIFE Talented gays have enriched our lives in so many ways, of different medias, humor, fashion style, different viewpoints in all areas. It broadens our lives to learn about others.
— Getting older, I’ve learned I have to have assistance, I can’t do everything I once did.

When visiting my dad in the nursing home, I wondered how workers could deal with the fate of death there. I enjoyed visiting with others at the dining table and enjoying the stories. I learned that I might not have known them for long, but in some way they touched my life. I enjoyed having known them. I can say the same for members of the MVOPT group. We are here for each other.
