The They, Them and Us Activities Group is traveling to Eagan to see an outdoor production of Jesus Christ Superstar on Sunday, July 24th. All who attended the Rocky Horror Show last winter totally loved Theater 55.
And now we have the opportunity to see them again. So, what’s the buzz? It is performed outside and is the first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage.
A timeless work, the rock opera is set again the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. The story told entirely by song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers, and the Roman Empire. Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 40 years.
