11:00 AM – Sunday – History Boys
August 13, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Please join The History Boys as they head to the Mill City Museum to visit the most popular tourist attraction in Minneapolis. You will learn about the museum’s fiery past and dynamic present.
“Soon after Minneapolis was born on the Mississippi’s west bank, the city’s flour milling industry skyrocketed. Powered by the mighty river and fed by boxcars of grain rolling in from the plains, the industry gave Minneapolis bragging rightas the ‘Flour Milling Capital of the World’.”
Explore where old mingles with new at Mill City Museum, which was built into the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill. “
The current exhibit ‘Going Out, Coming In” is a photo exhibit which details queer resistance, love, and identity formation amid the evolution of the neighborhood through the 20th Century.
