DESCRIPTION:Pittsburgh PrimeTimers is delighted to bring you the History Highlights tour at the Heinz History Center\, a place where stories come alive and history is made every day. We are officially on the calendar for Saturday\, April 15th for a guided tour at 2:00 p.m. Please arrive by 1:30 p.m.The cost will be $14.00/person for all visitors including History Center members. Followed by an informal meal at The Church Brew Works restaurant\, an iconic landmark that has been delighting diners since 1996. \nThe Heinz History Center\, 1212 Smallman Street\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15222 (2:00pm tour) \nThe Heinz History Center includes six floors of exhibit space\, and the History Highlights tour will take the group to the true “highlights” of the museum: you’ll explore the rich history of innovation and invention in Pittsburgh\, discuss some of western PA’s greatest sports moments\, and travel through the history of the Heinz Company. Visitors can gain valuable insight into what makes Pittsburgh so special today by engaging in conversations with knowledgeable docents who are passionate about their city’s history. \nThe Church Brew Works\, 3525 Liberty Ave\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15201 (4:30pm dinner) \nThe Church Brew Works is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking to experience the city’s unique culture and cuisine. Not only does this iconic eatery offer an extensive menu of traditional pub food\, but it also features craft beers made from recipes inspired by centuries-old brewing traditions. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy and inviting\, making it perfect for any occasion. Its convenient location on Liberty Avenue makes it easy to access if you’re coming from the History Center. \n \nRSVPs are essential for any event\, especially when it comes to large events such as the visit to the Heinz History Center and the Church Brew Works. RSVPs ensure that the venues knows exactly how many people will be attending and can plan accordingly. In addition to ensuring a pleasant experience for all involved\, RSVPs also provide peace of mind regarding payment. The History Center and the Church Brew Works will bill each visitor separately.
