SUMMARY:"Dandy Andy" Guided Tour at the Warhol
DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin Pittsburgh PrimeTimers for a dandy time at The Andy Warhol Museum on a special “Dandy Andy” tour. Led by an artist educator\, the tour will take us on a colorful\, sometimes poignant\, journey through the pop art icon’s personal life and work while exploring his unique place in LGBTQ+ history. \nLocated on Pittsburgh’s North Side\, the Museum is the largest repository of Warhol’s art and archives. We’ll meet in the Museum lobby at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday\, March 18th 2023. (The tour begins at 1:00 p.m.) Details below. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover this Pittsburgh native’s world and see why he remains one of the most influential artists of our time. \nAdmission: $23 for adults and $11 for seniors (age 65 and older). \nAdmission is free with Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh membership. Learn more about membership benefits at https://www.warhol.org/discounts/ \nParking: Museum parking is $8 (cash only) in The Warhol lot during normal Museum hours (10 a.m.–5 p.m. Wednesday–Monday; 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Fridays) and varies during non-operation hours. The lot is located on the northeast corner of Sandusky and East General Robinson Streets\, and the entrance is on East General Robinson Street. A large Brillo Box parking attendant booth is next to the entrance. Additional public parking is available north of the museum in the East General Robinson Street parking garage. Prices vary. \nTransit: The Warhol is a level 10-minute walk from Downtown Pittsburgh across the Andy Warhol (7th Street) Bridge. Or take any number of bus routes from Liberty and Seventh Avenues: 1\, 6\, 12\, 13\, 16 and 17. \n\nWhile an rsvp is important for events\, feel free to attend this event without reservations. Pittsburgh PrimeTimers will spring for the artist educator tour fee which includes 15 participants\, and if we have more participation no worries PPT has you covered. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
