This historic shelter\, once a Presbyterian church\, was beautifully restored in 2008 and is a popular spot in Riverview Park  \n\n.Plan for the Walk:\n\nThe group will gather at the Chapel Shelter and walk to the Allegheny Observatory\, a landmark within the park. The observatory is a notable feature of Riverview Park\, surrounded by scenic trails and natural beauty  .\nThe park offers plenty of free parking\, with spaces available near the Chapel Shelter and other areas .\n\nBackup Plan for Inclement Weather:\nIf it’s cold or raining\, the walk will be moved to the Allegheny Center Mall on Pittsburgh’s North Side. This indoor location provides a comfortable alternative for walking. Afterward\, participants can enjoy a meal at the Allegheny Center Food Court.Additional Notes:\nRiverview Park is a 287-acre gem of Pittsburgh\, featuring trails\, a swimming pool\, and the Mairdale watershed. It’s a favorite spot for outdoor activities and gatherings \n\n\n\nWe will gather at 12:00PM.
