This impressive structure is the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope and is used by scientists from around the world to study everything from pulsars to black holes. \nThis trip offers a unique opportunity to explore some of West Virginia’s most beautiful natural landscapes and learn about its rich history. \nWe have reserved overnight lodging for the night of Tuesday\, October 10. Cost will depend on the total number staying\, and will likely be about $25 per person. \nPPT has purchased 10 train tickets because they are starting to sell out already. The train leaves at Noon on Wednesday\, October 11 and takes a little over four hours. Tickets are available now through PPT on a first-come\, first-served basis. Cost is $92.22 per person.
