DESCRIPTION:Join us on a tour of the former Allegheny County Jail\nMonday\, August 4\, 2025 at 11:30 am\nWe’ll meet at the main entrance\, 440 Ross Street\, downtown Pittsburgh\nCost: Free \nA Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation (PH&LF) docent will tell us the story of the former Allegheny County Jail. Completed in 1886 to the designs of Boston architect H.H. Richardson\, it closed in 1995. PH&LF arranged to preserve a portion of the cell blocks of this historically important structure.
