This historic shelter, once a Presbyterian church, was beautifully restored in 2008 and is a popular spot in Riverview Park\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"_1kw22a20\"><span class=\"_1vwisb38\" data-testid=\"youchat-text\">.<\/span><span class=\"_1vwisb38\" data-testid=\"youchat-text\"><strong>Plan for the Walk:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul class=\"_1vwisb37\">\n<li class=\"f7g24p0\">The group will gather at the Chapel Shelter and walk to the <strong>Allegheny Observatory<\/strong>, a landmark within the park. The observatory is a notable feature of Riverview Park, surrounded by scenic trails and natural beauty\u00a0\u00a0.<\/li>\n<li class=\"f7g24p0\">The park offers plenty of\u00a0<strong>free parking<\/strong>, with spaces available near the Chapel Shelter and other areas\u00a0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"_1vwisb38\" data-testid=\"youchat-text\"><strong>Backup Plan for Inclement Weather:<\/strong><br \/>\nIf it\u2019s cold or raining, the walk will be moved to the\u00a0<strong>Allegheny Center Mall<\/strong>\u00a0on Pittsburgh\u2019s North Side. This indoor location provides a comfortable alternative for walking.
