Trained guides will lead us over electrically lit paved walkways and explain its history. Besides the many geologic wonders\, there is also a river flowing through the cave. \nOnondaga Cave tours leave from the visitor center. They are walking tours\, just less than 1 mile long\, and last about one hour and 15 minutes. \nThe cave’s temperature is 57ºF (13ºC) year-round\, so bring a jacket and comfortable shoes. SUMMARY:VISIT TO ONONDAGA CAVE STATE PARK
DESCRIPTION:Onondaga Cave is a natural cave (as opposed to a show cave like Meramec Caverns).  With an interesting history and a river flowing through the cave\, Onondaga Cave is a registered National Natural Landmark.  They offer hour-and-a-half tours that descend into a world of towering stalagmites\, dripping stalactites\, and active flowstones. The cost for a senior ticket is $20.00 plus tax.  The cave is near Leasburg\, Missouri. \n  \nSTART POINT: We will be CARPOOLING to the cave from the parking lot of Cheap Pricks\, 932 Meramec Station Rd Suite H\, Valley Park MO.  We will be going on the 10:00 AM cave tour.  Afterwards\, lunch at Skippy’s Route 66 Restaurant in Leasburg\, which has a 4.5 stars rating out of 5 stars on Yelp. \n  \nPlease tell Doug Schneider (ParadiseDouglas@gmail.com) that you have bought a ticket\, so he can expect you. \n  \nNOTE: Tours are limited to 15 people\, so buy your ticket soon. \n  \nHere is the best way to BUY A TICKET on the Onondaga Cave State Park website:  When given a choice of “Tour” or “Group Tour”\, choose “Tour”.  When you have selected the date of July 25 and the time of 10:00 AM\, DO NOT CLICK ON CONTINUE AS A GUEST.  Instead\, go ahead\, register with a password and take your time with each step.  Click “Sign Up Now!”
