We will meet at the entrance to the event. \n“Walk around the Saint Louis Zoo at twilight amidst the luminous glow of 50 towering lanterns depicting animals\, plants and traditional Chinese elements. You’re sure to enjoy this celebration of culture and art!”  This event should be just as cool as the Chihuly Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden that PTSL hosted for our members last year. \nTickets go on sale January 31\, 2024.  ZOO MEMBER: $16.95/NON-MEMBER: $19.95 \nThe real zoo animals will not be viewable\, and no animal buildings will be open during this event. Parking is free on both Zoo parking lots during the event. Lots are filled on a first-come\, first-served basis and may reach capacity. \nIf lots are full\, limited street parking within the boundaries of Forest Park is also available for free. The Zoo will close to the public at 5 p.m. Doors reopen at 6:30 p.m. for the event.

DESCRIPTION:St. Louis has a wide variety of murals: vintage murals\, modern murals\, and murals that trick the eye.  Plus\, we have the longest mural in the world.  Doug Schneider will take you on an armchair tour and show you many of our murals\, and to tell you about the talented muralists who have created them.  You will also hear about the itinerant muralists (called walldogs) who traveled the Midwest painting signs on building walls – now known as “ghost signs”.  Also\, each year there are 2 events where the public can help paint a mural. \nAll Prime Timers will be emailed a Zoom link for this free talk.
