Tom and I have a walking friend\, Todd\, whose partner\, Fermin\, is a cook from Durango\, Mexico and has catered often ( and they’re potential Prime Timer members). Fermin will develop a menu\, complete with a grocery list of what we should bring. We’ll begin preparing and cooking the meal at 4 PM to have the dinner ready in time for our potluck at 6:30 PM. An email will be sent out with the details later. Others are encouraged to bring side dishes to compliment the meal\, and desserts\, of course.

We’ll depart from the city parking lot at 7:45 PM and walk west to Botanica’s Carousel\, then reverse course and walk to the Keeper of the Plains to see the lighting of the firepots at 9 PM\, then return to the parking lot. Of course we’re doing this on Nut Day. Too bad that Nifty Nut House is not open at that time\, so we may just retreat to Bruams’ for some pumpkin spice ice cream or a hot fudge sundae afterwards. In case of cold weather\, bring a jacket. In case of rain\, bring an umbrella.
