Be sure to bring your bathing suit and towel. And there may be yard games like testicle\ntoss\, however\, corn hole may be moved to a more secluded and private setting. DESCRIPTION:The James Sprowl memorial will be Saturday\, 11 July from 4-6:00 p.m. at the La Vela Venue\, 6147 E. 13th (toward the west end of Prairie Village shopping center facing 13th).  We will start with a gathering period so people won’t need to arrive exactly at or before 4.  We will practice social distancing and ask people to wear face masks (of their choosing) and will have masks available for anyone who needs one.  There will pre-poured glasses of wine/water of several varieties to pick up and finger food served by masked/gloved servers.  In lieu of the traditional sign in book\, there will be cards/pens on each chair to enter you name and any other thoughts you may have.  These can be deposited in a basket at your convenience.  During the structured part of the period there will be live music provided by the Table of Hope MCC Praise Team\,  a message by our Pastor\, Rev. Jackie Carter\, and an opportunity to share memories via roving mics that will be held/cleaned for you.  Everyone is welcome to stay after for more refreshments and/or socializing.  Seating will be in single chairs or pairs (of your choosing).  There will be some tables with seating for up to six if you are comfortable joining/forming a group of your choosing.  Everything is on one level and there is ample parking adjacent to the venue with handicapped stalls near the entrance.  We have tried to make your attending as safe and convenient as possible.  Your presence would be greatly appreciated if you are comfortable attending.  Of course\, this is all subject to any new restrictions that may be imposed by Sedgwick County

So bring your favorite picnic foods and because it’s also Ice Cream Month\, and because we missed it at our June Potluck\, we will have our ice cream bar for dessert. Some flavors will be provided\, however you’re welcome to bring your favorite flavor of ice cream or toppings. And let’s have Bingo\, so bring your bingo prize wrapped or bagged.
