It’s Movie Night at Jim and Sam’s in Leawood!

It’s the much beloved Two-Fer Movie Night at Sam and Jim’s in Leawood! Two movies will be shown simultaneously in their spacious residence and you can choose which one appeals to you. The upstairs flick is Death Becomes Her. Now this 1992 movie is a much beloved film. It’s a black comedy fantasy film directed and produced by Robert Zemeckis and starring Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Bruce Willis, and Isabella Rossellini. Its plot follows two women who drink a magic potion that promises eternal youth with surprising consequences. I mean, c’mon! What a cast! If you haven’t seen it I promise you’re gonna love it.

Now showing downstairs is Unicorns. Unicorns is a drama directed by James Krishna Floyd and Sally El Hosaini, released in 2024. The film stars Ben Hardy as Luke, a single father and mechanic who is forced to question his sexual identity when he unexpectedly falls in love with Aysha (Jason Patel), a drag queen. The film premiered in the Special Presentations program at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival to great fanfare. It was just released in the US this month.
