In Arizona, one in five adults (22%) are family caregivers, currently providing care to a family member or friend
or had provided care within the last year. That more than 1.2 million adults in our state! Chances are that you
are or know of someone in the Prime Timers of Phoenix who is providing physical care, medical assistance, or
emotional support for a loved one, friend, or relative. PTOP member Tom Workman, an Ambassador for the
Arizona Caregiver Coalition, will talk about the many resources that are available to assist and support family
caregivers through the Coalition and answer your questions about accessing these services. He’ll also share
opportunities for you to become involved in sharing your own caregiver story and advocating for caregiver
support in the state.
