A Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation (PH&LF) docent will tell us the story of the former Allegheny County Jail. Completed in 1886 to the designs of Boston architect H.H. Richardson, it closed in 1995. PH&LF arranged to preserve a portion of the cell blocks of this historically important structure. We’ll have lunch at a downtown restaurant following the tour.
