🌞End of Summer Picnic!

September 8 @ 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us for an afternoon of summer fun at the Pittsburgh PrimeTimers’ End of Summer Picnic! It’s a wonderful opportunity for some informal summer enjoyment.

Pittsburgh PrimeTimers will provide hotdogs , hamburgers , and beverages. We’ll also have hot and ice-filled sterno setups ready for the side dishes, salads, and desserts that we kindly ask our members to bring. Your delicious contributions will add a personal touch to our picnic and ensure there’s a variety of tasty options for everyone to enjoy.

  • To ensure a diverse and well-coordinated menu, we kindly ask you to sign up and indicate what you will be bringing in the comments section at the bottom of this page. This will help us avoid duplicate food items and keep track of the menu. Don’t forget to include your name and email.

As we bid farewell to summer, you’ll have opportunities to win and share:

  1. 50/50 Cash Raffle: Try your luck at winning a cash prize!
  2. Silent Raffle: A perfect chance to declutter and discover something new:
  • Bring items you no longer need but are still in good condition
  • Your unwanted items could be someone else’s treasure
  • Let’s make this a success while finding new homes for our cherished possessions!

All proceeds support Pittsburgh PrimeTimers’ outreach and community activities.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing many more memorable moments together.

    1. Sure thing Harry! “Broccoli salad is the superhero of picnics. It might look like a green sidekick, but one bite and you’ll realize it’s the main event!” 🥦🦸‍♂️ I’ll put you on the rsvp list!

  1. Jeff/John are bringing pop and water, ice, and ice chest.
Table clothes, raffle tickets, t-shirts, donation container and a happy face.

    1. Sounds like Jeff and John are bringing everything but the kitchen sink! With all that, our picnic is going to be legendary. I’ll make sure to bring my appetite and my best picnic blanket! 🧺😄

  2. Hi, Rick and Mike!! I will be happy to pick up some potato salad. If that would be okay. I won’t be able to cook on Saturday, but if it would be okay, that would be wonderful. If not, offer some suggestions and I would be happy bring what is recommended.Look forward to seeing everyone!!

    Frank

    1. “Frank, your potato salad is so good, it should come with a warning label: ‘May cause uncontrollable happiness and second helpings!’ Bring it on, we can’t wait! 🥔😄” We got you on the list!

  3. I will bring classic Italian pesto made from basil that I have grown myself. And I might bring my bike, depending on the weather. Lester

    1. Hey Lester,
Homemade pesto grown from your own backyard kitchen garden? You’re officially the garden wizard! 🧙‍♂️🌿 And bringing your bike? Perfect! If the weather cooperates, we can have a pesto-fueled bike race. 🚴♂️💨
      Can’t wait!

  4. I would like to attend the picnic but I don’t have a way to get there.
A ride from McKees Rocks would be greatfully appreciated.

    1. Great to hear you’re planning to join us, Bob! While Pittsburgh PrimeTimers doesn’t have a magic carpet service, maybe one of our friendly members can give you a lift. 🚗✨ If anyone’s up for giving Bob a lift, please reach out to Pittsburgh PrimeTimers.

    1. Hi Jeff, 🥗 I can’t wait to see you and your culinary masterpiece at the picnic. We got you on the rsvp list!
