As the sun graces the lush green expanse of Schenley Park, the Pittsburgh PrimeTimers community comes together for a delightful summer picnic. Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 13th, at 11:00 a.m., and join us at the picturesque Prospect Shelter. Whether you’re a seasoned member or a newcomer, this event promises a day of camaraderie, laughter, and mouthwatering treats.
Pittsburgh PrimeTimers® will be providing fried chicken, sandwich rings, beverages, as well as paper products and utensils. However, to encourage participation, we kindly request that you bring your favorite picnic fare, such as salads, side dishes, and desserts. Your assistance with set-up and cleanup would also be greatly appreciated.
- To ensure a diverse and well-coordinated menu, we kindly ask you to sign up and indicate what you will be bringing in the comments section at the bottom of this page. This will help us avoid duplicate food items and keep track of the menu. Don’t forget to include your name and email.

We believe it would be a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase any memorabilia or interesting pieces you have collected over the years and tell us any story attached to them, along with a suggested price for each item. Your generous contributions will help make our auction even more exciting and successful.
- Scrumptious Menu: Indulge in a scalding hot spread of delectable dishes. From classic picnic fare to mouthwatering surprises, our menu is designed to tantalize your taste buds.
- Shady Conversations: Find respite from the sun under the leafy canopy of Prospect Shelter. Engage in lively conversations with fellow PrimeTimers, share stories, and forge new friendships.
- Sun-Kissed Activities: If you’re feeling active, grab a bean bag and challenge your friends to a friendly toss. The sun-dappled surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor games.
