Prime Timers of Sacramento’s first meeting was held May 3, 2009. Twenty-two guys showed up at the Gay and Lesbian Center the 12th, to hear Dennis Wiegle speak about Prime Timers. On May 12, 2009, Ralph Goodall, Jim Joseph, Jerry Barnes, Jess Adams, Gary Ferderer, Carl Cronn and Dennis Wiegle met to form the original board. The first actual meeting of Prime Timers Sacramento was June 7, 2009. At that time, the board was voted in and the by-laws were accepted.
