FREE ZOOM TALK: BYGONE SPORTS TEAMS AND FORGOTTEN STADIUMS

Sports have strengthened and energized St. Louis. This talk will cover professional sports teams that used to call St. Louis home: major league, Negro league, minor league, alternative league.  Some teams left St. Louis for other cities; most teams ended their career here.  We will look back when St. Louis had both an American and a National League team, look back when the National Guard sponsored a St. Louis football team, look back at sports played in the second largest indoor venue in the United States.  And we will find out where Yogi Berra took his future wife on their first date.
