DESCRIPTION OF TALK
Missouri has the smallest National Park (which just underwent a $350,000,000 renovation). Missouri has the first National Riverway and has one of the newest National Historic Sites, plus the tallest monument in the United States. Missouri delivered mail to California before the Pony Express was established. Today, in Missouri, the NPS deals with historic landmarks, battlefields, the underground railroad, urban landscapes, natural landmarks, and historic trails. They might even have funded a playground in a city park near you.
